We had a wonderfull stay at SamSam Restort and loved everything. The staff was very kind and Pooky helped us with everything we needed (boat, scooter, transport to and from hotel). We loved that place!! The island is so peaceful, the people are amazingly friendly, it feels not touristicly destroyed but still comfortable enough for the western traveler. The hotel is so well kept. They thought about everything you need. And the best part is the staff with the head of Nancy, who is absolutely amazing. We enjoyed our stay so much. We felt so welcomed.

We’re a family of four who had a fantastic stay at Touch Beachfront. We had rented the full Villa which sleeps up to six and consists of three separate buildings each with bed and bathroom and a private pool nicely placed in between them. It also has a small kitchenette with fridge and a dining-living room with a big-screen TV if you want a movie-night. Located right at the edge of the water you can see the beach from all the rooms and appreciate the fantastic views as the sun rises across the ocean. There is also a small restaurant that serves high quality thai food and drinks. The owner Jackie is extremely friendly and always available to help. She organized a half day boat-trip to the local islands incl. Koh Hong (where we got well before the rush from Krabi and Phuket). She also helped with tours on the local island and we visited her husbands store in the local village. All staff was friendly and attentive.

Absolutely wonderful hotel! To start, it absolutely lives up to the name-the hotel has the best view on the island. Under new management as of December ‘24, looking at previous reviews, it seems there have already been a lot of positive improvements-new landscaping, upgraded pool furniture, fencing, etc. and it seems there is even more to come, upgrading an already terrific spot. Every bungalow has a view, as well as the pool. There are covered tables to have a drink and a great cafe right next store as well as several dinner options within a 5-10 min walk, and small market. There are motos and bicycles for rent, and the staff are happy to help accommodate/book a taxi. The rooms are lovely, with a very large bathroom and shower area! Jerome and his team are great-very accommodating and helpful! Highly recommend Betterview if you are thinking about a trip to Koh Yao Yai!
