+ Absolutely lovely staff, they made sure our stay was truly special. Any request we had they tried to fulfill immediately! + we were allowed to use the facilities at the other hotels related to this property. We especially loved the free use of the saunas and the infinity pool + breakfast had many healthy and yummy options. They even with great options for vegans, so we didn’t feel like we were missing out on anything. The views onto the ocean from the terrace were quite the sight. + cute little town with natural pools and very quiet at night

We have stayed in Madeira in different places and this was by far the best one we have had! It was super duper clean, fully equipped and the host was extremely helpful and very kind and put fresh vegetables and fruits of her garden in the kitchen so we can all have them! They were delicious! I can whole heartedly recommend this stay!!!

This hotel was an absolute shock for the price. Everything felt so premium, from the kindness of the staff that gave us a very nice room, with ocean view, to the pool and jacuzzi, also with ocean view. There's an amazing rooftop bar, a children's playground, a great restaurant, a lot of places to sit and relax. The room is extremely cosy, with bright colors. There's also a minibar in the room and some bathrobes are available. A market is located downstairs, with some great local beers. All other restaurants are minutes away. A lot of parking spaces are available in front of the hotel, in the street or the small parking lot. P.S. Try the "Porto de abrigo" bar, next to the hotel. You won't regret it

We were looking for somewhere special to celebrate our 20th anniversary, but didn’t want to stay in a big, impersonal hotel, and it was just what we had hoped. The hotel combines traditional with beautiful modern spaces, wonderful gardens and lots of secluded spots for guests to enjoy the peace and breathtaking views. Breakfast was delicious with hot options cooked to order, and the dining room staff were friendly and efficient. We had dinner at the hotel twice in the week we stayed and the food was of a high standard; eating out on the terrace was a highlight. We loved coming back to the pool after hiking or exploring the island, or to enjoy a drink on our balcony overlooking the ocean. Ponta do Sol itself is more peaceful than many other places on the south coast but has several good places to eat and a popular pub, so most evenings we were able to eat in the village without having to drive. The lifts were all working properly. The hotel’s location is perfect for exploring all parts of the island as it is very close to the road which runs up to the mountains and the north coast. Having an indoor pool and sauna to use when the weather was chilly was a bonus. We had an amazing holiday and will be back to explore more of this wonderful island, a week wasn’t nearly enough!

Wonderful comfortable villa in a quiet village with stunning sunsets and views of the mountains and ocean. Nearby are two fish restaurants and a bar with inexpensive cocktails. Free parking. All this added even more charm to our holiday. Special thanks to the owner of the house for his concern for our comfort, although we were satisfied with everything.
