The property is in a vineyard and most rooms oversee a nice grape + tree + lake view. I stayed at Aoraki suite which is very spacious, clean and comfortable. There is daily complimentary cheese board - minibar, chips and a bottle of rose are also complimentary. I tried the “Trust the Chef” dinner at the estate which is very good. Quality food plus reasonably priced wine pairing / wine menu. Breakfast was good - continental plus a la carte. Last but not least, at the retreat suite there is a very nice lobby, infinity pool and hot tub.

Everything is just like a dream. The canyons is super beautiful and I can't explain to you how fabulous this place is! Super cheap rate and you get 10 stars hotel rate which is big and cozy room with netflix, free hot tub service, breakfast with the best view of your life and the shotover view is to die for.

Where do we start? Juliet was an amazing host, catered to my dietary needs and even bought me freshly baked banana bread with a candle for my birthday. There’s a great view of the shot over jet, beautiful sunrise from our room and the snow made it that little bit better.     Jenni was very welcoming and full of local information. A gorgeous location,, super comfortable bed and top quality linen. Spa pool was so relaxing looks over the Shotover and up to Coronet Peak. Lovely touches like complementary snacks and bath robes.

    King room jacuzzi bath great. Comfy bed. Good tea and coffee and enough milk for once. Bus stop close by. very friendly staff. Breakfasts good and restaraunt good. spa jacuzzi. We left the Sherwood to go to the holiday Inn -the holiday inn was far comfier.
