Exceptional place and great value for money. Key highlights include: - Indika, our host, who has been incredible throughout the trip. This included maintaining the rooms throughout our stay as well as organising cars for us around the country and organising our safari day in Yala. Indika is an exceptional host and did an excellent job on our holiday. - the place is perfectly located, a short walk from the city centre. Room is spacious and Indika makes sure it is clean at all times. Bathroom is lovely. We had the Sri Lankan breakfast every day which was yummy and filling - being so close to the city centre meant it was very easy to organise activities and head out around ella in the day

We had a great stay at arana. Very relaxing location in the tree tops with stunning views. Rooms were beautiful, great WiFi & included a safe. We did the cooking class, yoga and meditation class and all were great. Breakfast also great. Staff were lovely.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Tranquility Ella. The place exceeded our expectations. The facilities were excellent, the food was delicious and the staff were extremely friendly. All of this came at a very reasonable price. The view from our room was very beautiful and we only wish we could have stayed longer.

Large clean comfortable space and large clean bathroom, with so many homey touches. The pictures are accurate. The view is amazing and so is the host. Great water pressure and hot! Peaceful, quiet, and private. There is a towel rack, lockable wardrobe cabinet and lockable drawers. Tv - never used. Nice pillows. Comfortable bed. Mosquito net - never needed. I sat out every night and had no issues with mosquitos. Fan - never used. Excellent WiFi. Host is always fast and easily reachable. Private porch and gardens are away from the hosts view. You have your own building. Host building is far enough away and they don’t have a view of the porch or inside. BEAUTIFUL, huge floor to ceiling window. Meals served on fine china with breath taking views. So relaxing. Fresh clean air!!! The mornings are warm and sunny, and the nights cool off for enjoyable evenings and sleeping. All around amazing stay and experience. I am so blessed to have had the chance to stay here. You can tell the host takes great pride in the way she keeps the cottage. Delicious breakfast (included in price) and dinner at very reasonable prices, much better than in town. It was nice to come back after a day of exploring and have a delicious meal prepared. She even did my laundry. Got it back same day washed/dried and ironed. Kindness most peaceful and gentle host with the warmest most welcoming smile. She spoils you and showers you with such gratitude!!! So welcoming and refreshing! She will even go into town for you, and get anything you need - just ask. Accommodating in every way. Too many good things to even list it all. I didn’t want to leave. After booking one night, I had to come back and stay 3 more nights for a total of 4. It’s just that relaxing. Host also graciously accommodated my last minute booking. I was in town and booked at 5:15 pm, and drove right over. The place was clean and ready. Blessings with gratitude. 🙏

View is wonderful. Place is amazing.

Beautiful location and stunning views, our room was overlooking Ella rock and it was breath taking. It’s a 5 minute walk to the village so is very central. Staff are incredible, there was no request too big/ small. They went over and beyond at every opportunity. Janith saved us last minute with a great taxi driver to the airport when I made a mistake with my booking. He also organised a tour for us when we arrived with a local tuk tuk driver at a great price. He was super accommodating and really helpful. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ella.

Loved the stay! Yapa & Kumari were great hosts and treated me like family. They took care of absolutely everything and even helped me transit from one place to another by using their own transportation. Yapa even drove me around Ella for a city tour where we visited places like Nine Arches Bridge, Tea Factory, Ravana's Cave, Ravana's Waterfall etc. Some significant pros of staying here include - Great breakfast, cozy stay, amazing hosts, hot water facility (you might have to ask for it sometimes), cleanliness, ready transportation if needed & lastly - a feeling of home.
