Good location for exploring West Flanders. Easy to find. Lots of parking. Easy to walk the dog. Very friendly hosts. Excellent breakfast. Kitchen at our disposal and well stocked fridge and snack counter for purchase. We had a private entrance. Nice common patio area, but the weather wasn’t too good during our stay.

A demolished building at the entrance made us wonder if we were in the right place, but as soon as we were through the gates, we could see that we were somewhere exceptional. The building is elegant, the grounds superb, and the public spaces roomy with welcoming decor. It's more of a big B&B rather than a small hotel, but a very good one. I suspect that we had the smallest of the rooms, but we were comfortable enough for our 4 nights. Ter Wallen is an easy walk from the Markt square and the station, so it's a good spot for exploring this part of Belgium, and close enough to some of the historic battlefields for a day trip. Izigem itself is a nice small town, with plenty of spots to enjoy a beer or two. Ter Wallen's breakfast is on the expensive side; we only had breakfast on one morning but it was very good.

We had a fantastic stay at Madelette B&B. Kathy is an excellent host and ensured every detail of our stay was to our liking. She gave us many recommendations for places to eat and other suggestions nearby. Our room was very spacious and beautifully decorated with a comfy bed, beautiful bathroom and a lovely terrace to ourselves. The breakfast was also incredible - Kathy makes pretty much everything herself and it is all delicious. I particularly loved Kathy’s homemade chocolate spread! The closest restaurants are about a 30minute walk away through beautiful fields and a village.

Beautiful location. Nice and peaceful after a long day driving through cities. Host was very welcoming and it was a nice touch to have a few refreshment drinks on arrival. Accomodation was spotless. Lovely to see the farm and horses, goats and cat.

Hosts were very welcoming, nice an friendly and nothing was a problem. The property is a typical Belgian detached villa with modern accommodation. Bedroom very comfortable with airco. Heated pool and jacuzzi. Great value for money. We are booking for next year.
