We had an absolutely exceptional stay at Dar Wadada, a place full of soul and character perched high above the blue city of Chefchaouen. Far from mass tourism and noise, we found here a home — not a hotel — where you’re welcomed as friends, not guests. Rachid, the owner, is a true one-man show. Warm, attentive, charismatic, always there without ever being intrusive. His presence is felt through every detail, and his team is just as amazing — professional, kind, yet almost invisible. The setting is pure magic: lush greenery, fruit trees, goats, cows, birds, a friendly dog, a curious cat… and a peaceful mountain silence that grounds you instantly. In April, nature is in full bloom — it’s breathtaking. And above all, there’s no need to overthink anything here. Just come as you are, stay simple, and go with the flow. That’s the spirit of Dar Wadada. Thank you Rachid for this unforgettable moment with my wife. We left recharged, lighter, and already dreaming of coming back. Amazing experience, fantastic place in the green, great hosts, unique and beautiful apartment.. clean rooms, delicious breakfast.. My family and I spent three amazing days at Azilane. Ibrahim and his family are great hosts. If you're a nature lover looking to escape the daily grind, immerse yourself in the beauty of the Rif Mountains, savor delicious local food, and experience true Moroccan hospitality, then this is the place for you. In today's world of homogenized attractions, finding a homestay that offers a taste of real life is priceless. I highly recommend staying with Ibrahim for more than a day. There are many trails to explore, like SFIHA TELJ, or you can take a scenic walk to the next village. Ibrahim can guide you or provide information and advice about treks in the area. The charming house boasts a magnificent view from the terrace. The food, homemade and some of the best we tried in Morocco, included freshly baked bread, cookies, and tajines.
