Timberline Glamping at Unicoi State Park blends the luxury of a posh hotel with the adventure of camping. It is located just 2 miles from Helen, GA, in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains, on the edge of the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Our deluxe safari tents are up to 384 square feet of designer rustic luxury, can accommodate up to 8 people and 2 dogs, and have their own heating and air conditioning units, ceiling fans, a mini fridge, a Keurig coffee machine, and electrical outlets for all your devices. Each tent has 1-2 deluxe king or queen-sized beds, 1-2 sets of bunk beds, floor space for up to 2 of our additional folding memory foam twin sized mattresses and super soft linen. Each comes with a wood-burning fire pit, a clean picnic table, a wood deck with deck chairs, 2 hammocks, and exterior string lights. Nestled in the lush, wooded heart of picturesque Unicoi State Park, this is the kind of luxury glamping Helen, GA visitors have been seeing in travel shows and magazines for years. With miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, water falls, a river and lake, a beach with a variety of watersports, a zip line course, classes in fly fishing, archery and ax throwing, 2 restaurants, free round-trip shuttles from tent to town and more, it’s not hard to understand why this gorgeous spot is quickly becoming the most sought after place to stay near the charming Bavarian mountain village of Helen, GA. Please note that Unicoi State Park does provide free WiFi internet service at the welcome center and at the Lodge. This service does not, however, extend to the glampsites nor to the rest of the park. Mobile service, depending on your service provider is patchy at different places around the park, so you may have service in some areas of your site. If you need a good free WiFi connection, it is recommended that you go to the Lodge or the Welcome Center.

When you arrive, start by exploring the park, stopping by the Welcome Center (they have info on boating rentals, classes and more) and the Lodge (where you can find out about additional adventure tours like zip lining or check out their 2 on-site restaurants, bars and activities) and then stopping by the beach on the way to taking the short hike to Anna Ruby Falls. By the way, if you wanted to look into booking an adventure tour before you're on site, simply Google "Unicoi Lodge" and click on "Adventures"... or give them a call to book. The city also has a great website with all kinds of fun things to do in and around both Unicoi State Park and Helen. You can find that info by Googling "Helen GA visitors bureau, things to do". Also, if you'd rather not drive yourself to Helen, because of our partnership with Unicoi Lodge, all of our guests have access to a free shuttle that will bring you from your tent to Helen and back (last shuttle from Helen to the park is at 8pm). Please call the Lodge to arrange for pickup. We've also arranged with the Lodge restaurants to offer room service for our glampers. That means you can place a food and beverage order (either cooked or grill-ready) with their restaurants and have it delivered to your tent. We do recommend that you place your order early to take advantage of their delivery service. Again, simply call the Lodge restaurants directly for menus or to place your order.
