Turtle Bay is a unique floating guesthouse cabin located in the middle of natural lotus pond between Khao Tao beach Valley. This is a unique design and exclusive stay. This compound only offers 3 turtle cabins, each cabin accommodate only 2 guests.
This project has been awarded 1 st Global Future Design Awards 2021
The Turtle Bay project is located on the lush natural area of Hua-Hin, one of the most famous seaside area of THAILAND. The project is located on 1.7 Rai of land. The site is located near Khao Tao Reservoir and is also considered as one of the main tourists’ attractive place. The aim of Turtle Bay’s owner is to create new eco tourist destination, organic eatery, chef’s table, eco café , zero waste, workshop area, local artisan’s souvenir shop as well as homestay style lodging.
I was born in Thailand, now I am living in Hua Hin. I worked in Australia over 10 years and holiday working in the UK and Europe for two years. I love traveling and gardening.
Having Hosted my dream home/apartments online is such a great idea and It has simplified my travel life tremendously by allowing me to host people to maintain my languages, and to search it for interesting people to meet up with. I have met great people everyday.
Apparently I have a few property in Hua Hin in Khao Tao called “ Turtle Bay Eco Luxe” a new eco-tourism destination comprising 4 villa café and restaurant. This place has been awarded for designing and sustainable eco destination. Please come me at Turtle Bay
Khao” is Thai word of mountain whilst “Tao” is Thai word of turtle. Shape of turtle’s shell has selected as roof surface of the project to create new tourist destination. Existing large lotus pond has preserved to maintain the sense of place.
Material selections are based on simple criteria which is harmonized with nature. Shingle roof selected as major roof material. This is because its surface look like gravel and stone chips. Shingle roof also has its ability to create turtle’s shell-like surface. Local bamboo selected as another main roof materials as well as wall surface. The criteria of selection are based on its bending ability. Moreover, bamboo construction can be built easily by using local artisan’s knowledge and heavy machine are not required to build bamboo structure
