Born in Lajes do Pico, I’m passionate about the Island and a huge water sports enthusiast. Captain of a whaleboat and experienced windsurfer, I know all about local conditions for wind and waves. I can help you find everything this incredible island has to offer as I genuinely enjoy guaranteeing that visitors remember forever how special a place it really is.

Property information

Casa dos Caldeiras B&B is located in a very central position in Pico Island, with extremely handy roads that make for a perfect base for discovering this unique island of the Azores. Reconstructed from two very old typical homes, the result is an astonishing level of modern day comforts without losing the authentic feel and memory of its origins. Outside you will enjoy a relaxing green landscape, and be just a couple of minutes away from a picturesque local favorite swimming spot. It’s neither a busy area, nor is it far from anything you might need during your stay, which is certain to prove memorable.

Neighbourhood information

There is so much in the vicinity of Casa dos Caldeiras. You will be a very short drive from the absolute best whale watching village of Lajes do Pico, and its whaling museum, the single most visited museum in the Azores. Similarly, a fabulous pick nick area under dense vegetation, a local favorite small swimming spot, and even the beautiful highlands and lagoons of the island. Restaurants and supermarkets are likewise in the area, and if you feel like being pampered, you literally have a cosy wellness center across the street. You cannot find a more central location to explore the island from end to end.
