This is a quintessential kiwi cottage nestled amongst native New Zealand bush. Ruru cottage is perfect for a unique & relaxing weekend getaway or a week-long trip, and is dog friendly. The cottage is a cosy, peaceful rural stay with everything you need plus native birdsong morning and night. In addition to the stunning outdoor bath and large timber deck, the space has artsy, quirky furnishings that make for a very special stay. The open plan lounge has an additional queen fold out sofa bed.
My name is Fiona Anderson. Welcome to the property I built over 30 years and my special Ruru cottage. I have a Masters in Education with a counselling qualification. I teach senior Biology / Science. I currently reside In Newstead / Matata. I create one off Ngati Fifi reversible skirts and large botanical paintings which I sell at festivals, markets and trade fairs as well as work at a Health school. I Iove meeting new people, creativity, painting, art, fishing, biking, yoga, tennis, travel, adventures, the journey and quirky interludes.
The cottage is secluded and quiet yet a few minutes to a major expressway and less than 10 minutes to the Centre of Hamilton city. It is 1km to a very popular restaurant and berry farm selling fresh fruit icecreams.
