A recently renovated townhouse located in the 'older part' of Kercem with the serene Lunzjata UNESCO Valley of Peace closeby. The property consists of 5 rooms and features a guest entrance leading to 2 guest rooms on the upper floor, a small courtyard (host access only), high ceilings, traditionally built rooms. Host living quarters are on the ground floor and the 2 private ensuite guest rooms are on the first floor of the property. Mostly inspired by rural living and slow-paced island life this apartment is finished off to a level of 'simplistic comfort' and styled with uniquely-sourced furniture. Each room is also adorned with handmade pieces made or upcycled by your host, collected or inspired by rural surroundings
Hi i am Lexi, an islanders at heart, Gozo being one of those places where I feel 'more alive'. No 29 Triq Pej(y)pu is our warm and inviting island home. We look forward to opening the doors to those curious about this corner of the world! These days our heart n hands are full taking care of our beautiful daughter, housekeeping, plants n essential oils!
Ta' Kerċem, Malta The surrounding neighbourhood is mostly rural, and my Airbnb home is located on the older, quieter side of the village of Kercem. On our doorstep is the most fertile valley in Gozo, recognised by UNESCO as The Valley of Peace and also known as 'The Garden of Rabat' through an old stairway carved out of the rock. This is a shortcut passage-way for locals, tourists and farmers to the valley or the neighbouring capital city of Rabat (20 minute walk-away with an uphill). The apartment is located on the periphery of the village, with convenient idyllic and picturesque walking routes to Kercem village civic centre/band club (approx. 5-10 minutes), to Xlendi seaside village centre (approx. 30 minutes) and to Rabat/Victoria (approx. 20 minutes) Some other highlights of the village and Peypu Street include: a local baker hawker selling freshly baked bread every morning at 8:30am, a fruit & veg hawker on Wednesday mornings also outside our place, tennis courts 5 minutes away, a rooftop restaurant (open in the evenings in Summer only) with views of the alit citadel in the background, a couple of country walks with distant views of Xlendi and the magnificent limestone cliffs
