Kagetsuan is located in historical area of Hita city, 3 minutes walking distance from Mameda old town. The Villa is renovated old Japanese house which has dry Sauna with spring water bath. You may enjoy living in a historical old town of Japan.
Lived in 5 countries and visited 63 countries overseas, as a final living place I chosed is Hita. This place is attractive with beautiful nature, interesting history, fresh food and nice people. My life work would be activating town and village, conserving nature of Hita. I will be in help advising places to see, eat, onsen(hot springs), etc for you.
Mameda town has a lot of old houses from later Edo era which reminds old Japanese scenery. You may enjoy circumstances, or trying Japanese traditional sweets or Unagi (eel), Sake, etc. Do not forget to walk after sundown, to see lighting up of Mameda streets. You may enjoy Izakaya (casual restaurants) in Mameda.
