Our place showcases some of what I love about Japanese aesthetics. Sliding paper screens, sliding screens with traditional pictures, clay and crushed paper walls, Japanese paper (washi), tile and silk. Alongside the original wood framing and specially picked cheery and maple floors, Japanese screens and tatami make one feel like one is actually in Japan rather than a generic hotel. We also really care about our guests, most often picking them up at the local station if at all possible and suggesting great things to do, eat and see during their stay. We also have electric assist bikes for hire, great for the Art Islands!

Welcome! The Art Islands are amazing! We love to help people to make the most out of their stay, often discovering along with our guests the charm and wonder of Naoshima, Teshima, or Inujima art islands.

Aside from the amazing art islands, there is the fantastic cuisine of Fujiwara (fresh local food, absolutely amazing), the best onsen (hot pools) in Okayama, 15 min electric assisted bike away, great ramen, and wood fired pizza in Uno, also 15 min away by bicycle. We often take guests (or point them in the direction) to a great local beach in summer also.
