The Ancient House Zingaro of Scopello, is located in Scopello about 500 meters from the Zingaro natural reserve. The eighteenth-century structure restored in typical Sicilian style, consists of three independent apartments, which are accessed via a non-paved driveway, which leads to the private parking common to all three apartments. The main apartment, the largest of all, furnished with antique Sicilian furniture, spread over two floors, on the ground floor: outdoor pergola and solarium area with sun loungers, inside the living area, dining room, kitchen; on the upper floor there is the sleeping area and the attached services. The so-called "sea" apartment and the so-called "monte" apartment are two twin apartments both on the ground floor, both with adjoining terrace and outdoor kitchen, inside they consist of a single living / dining room, then a double bedroom and bathroom complete with all the pieces. all the apartments have a wonderful garden. The nearest pebble beach is also called cala Azzurra.

It probably owes its name to the faraglioni or rocks (in Latin scopulus, in greek scopelos) [3]. The first settlement on the promontory where Scopello is found dates back to the Hellenistic age, then continued in the Roman and Islamic periods. During the Norman period it was a royal domain. In the thirties of the thirteenth century, Emperor Frederick II of Swabia granted the land of Scopello to the Piedmontese Oddone de Camerana, and the Lombard knights arrived with him in Sicily. In 1237 Oddone di Camerana and his Lombard knights moved to Corleone, and Emperor Federico II granted Scopello in fief to the town of Monte San Giuliano (today Erice). The current village dates back to the seventeenth century and is divided into two parts: a baglio, which the tradition indicates as of the Norman period, but dating back to the eighteenth century, and a small square with the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, The tonnara of Scopello is one of the most important and ancient of all Sicily: the first buildings date back to the thirteenth century, the real tonnara was built in the fifteenth century by Giovanni Sanclemente and expanded by the family Sanclemente during the sixteenth century;
