El Ortal es un kibutz amplio y tranquilo situado en los Altos del Golán, en un entorno de pinares y zonas verdes. Ofrece tanto habitaciones elegantes como chalets de madera de lujo con bañera de hidromasaje y conexión Wi-Fi gratuita. Las habitaciones del Ortal están decoradas con muebles de tonos claros y disponen de TV vía satélite con canales Yes, aire acondicionado y nevera pequeña. Todas las mañanas se sirve un desayuno en el comedor del kibutz. Los chalets individuales son de estilo escandinavo y están situados en el limite del parque. Cuentan con TV de pantalla plana extragrande, reproductor de DVD y cocina totalmente equipada. Asimismo, el Ortal dispone de varios parques infantiles, merenderos y zonas de barbacoa. También alberga un supermercado pequeño.
