Dobri is one of the oldest districts in the city of Split, Croatia. It originated in the Middle Ages outside the strict walls of the medieval town, as one of the suburbs of the time. Along with Varoš, Manuš, and Lučac, it was one of the first parts of Split, outside the former center of the city, and was considered a village and suburb. At the beginning of the 20th century, the suburbs of Dobri extended from HNK to Lovret and from Old Placa to the Isusovci monastery. This area, which was sparsely inhabited since ancient times, consisted mainly of gardens, vineyards, and orchards of the richest Split families, along with a few summer houses and rare fashion houses.
