The apartment consists of a bedroom with a large and comfortable box bed with a mattress, dimensions 180*200, a spacious living room and dining room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a balcony just for you. Hello, my name is Marija and I will be your host during your stay in the House of Artichoke apartment. I was born and raised in Dubrovnik, I currently live in Sinj, a small town near Split, but I spend the whole summer and every free time in Rožat. I am the mother of two sons and an entrepreneur. I am in love with Dubrovnik and Rožat and I wanted to convey my passion for the history and nature of this climate to you in the design of the apartment.

Rožat is a scenic, picturesque and peaceful place located only 3.5 kilometers from the center of Dubrovnik. With its rich history and natural beauty, it was an inspiration to many world writers and artists. It is located in the bay of the river Omble (which is the shortest river in the world, 7 km) and is surrounded by bulky hills. Due to its nature and climatic conditions, the remains and dwellings of the first prehistoric people, and later tribes, were found at this location, because its geographical position provided refuge and shelter from enemies. On the hill above the apartment is the Church of the Assumption, which was built in the year 1000 and is the oldest shrine of the Virgin Mary in Croatia. There is a Franciscan Monastery on the river that dates back to the 14th century. Rožat and Rijeka Dubrovačka are rich in the remains of the summer houses of the Dubrovnik nobility, Rijeka Dubrovačka was an attractive location for building summer houses because of its natural beauty, and above all clean water. The most famous resident of Rožat is the writer Marin Držić. Across the river is the ACI Marina Dubrovnik, where there are restaurants, cafes and shops.
