Gonia is a traditional village where you can find a supermarket, cafe, gas station etc. Mini Bella Gonia is only 5' from Atsipopoulos, one of the largest villages in the area, where you can also find shops, supermarkets, taverns , pharmacy, pastry shop, etc. Argyroupoli is 25 min away and is famous as the most clean organized traditional community and for its natural attractions as well, since the visitor will find here beautiful springs and old mills. Taverns with local food and specifically “antikristo” lamp, supermarkets, shops with local products and bakeries with traditional local pastries are available to any visitor during the whole year. Kournas Lake is only 22 kilometers away. There, you will find lots of restaurants and cafes both in the lake and in the village. You can have fun and enjoy a ride with water bicycles in the lake. The beautiful town of Rethymno is only 10km away. You should definitely walk in the streets of the old town, where the old houses with the venetian doors and the minarets will take you on a journey through time. A plethora of restaurants, cafes and shops are waiting for you to explore them. At the edge of the old town you can visit Fortezza Castle, where you can enjoy the spectacular view. A stop to the Archeological museum and the Folklore Museum of Rethymno will complete your visit. Chania town is 60km away, where you can enjoy the local market and various stores for shopping. At the venetian port there is a beautiful Egyptian lighthouse, the Maritime Museum of Crete, the Venetian Shipyards, the Küçük Hasan Mosque and the Chania Sailing Club - Neorio Moro. In the old town you can visit the Catholicon of the Venetian Monastery of St. Francis, also there you will find many restaurants, cafes and bars where you can enjoy the local gastronomy. Bus stop is only 100m away from the property. You are able to catch the bus from Rethymno's central bus station. Car is recommended to make your transfer easier!
