Makratela guesthouse is located on the south slope of the Caucasus range, high mountaineous region of Georgia, Tusheti. that's why it is open only three to four months-from June to October. the road is closed during 7 months.rooms are tiny, as there is not much living space in mountain settlements, but it is balanced by cosy balconies with wonderful views. thanks to Czech development agency we have water system powered by solar pannels. kitchen is tasty and fresh. you can enjoy local meals as well as Keto's delicious cooking. the guesthouse can accommodate up to 40 people, so during the peak of the season it can be bustling and busy, but if you are fond of quet environment, there are still enough nooks to relax.

Dartlo is on the way to main horse track over Atsunta pass which many hikers choose to go through as a challenging and beautiful path from Tusheti to Khevsureti. there are also small several hour walking tracks around the village.
