    The B&B is close to the centre of Keswick so ideal for going for walks and into the town. The B&B had everything you could need. The dry room was good for drying our walking boots.

    The location is fabulous near to the town centre with free on road parking. Also located near to the park which is a bonus for the early morning dog walk Absolutely dog friendly and even the dog gets a treat at breakfast

Company information

Over 20 years of visiting Keswick it has become one of our favourite places in the world and we hope it will become one of yours. Holding our Mountain Leader qualifications and knowing the Lake District very well we can advise on walks for all abilities, should it be a flat river walk or the challenge of a mountain such as Skiddaw, we can suggest a fabulous route for you. If you don’t feel like walking, we can suggest local attractions that should not be missed on a stay in Keswick. Also, as keen road cyclists and mountain bikers we can offer advice on routes in the area. Secure cycle storage is available for a limited number of bikes by prior arrangement. We love eating in Kewsick at an amazing variety of restaurants and pubs to suit all tastes and requirements. We can certainly recommend the great places in town a couple of minutes walk away.

Debbie, Ian and Ruby, the border collie, warmly welcome you to Keswick. We have owned Whichester House since 2019 but have been regular visitors to Keswick for 20 years. Keswick is a beautiful town in the northern Lake district national park. Surrounded by Mountains, on the shore of Derwentwater, Keswick is an outdoor activity paradise. We have a variety of comfortable rooms available, doubles, twins and a flexible family room for up to 3 people to suit your requirements. All rooms are ensuite with showers. Mountain views over Skiddaw and Blencathra mountains can be seen. We are now fully dog friendly with rooms available for you and your furry friends. Dogs are allowed where you are and are encouraged to come to breakfast for their sausage. Please check when booking that the dog friendly rooms are available. Unfortunately we are unable to accept group bookings.

Neighbourhood information

Short flat stroll to the centre of Keswick which boasts an excellent selection of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, and don’t forget the market on Thursday and Saturday. A 10 minute walk to Derwentwater Lake and the local attractions. We are on the doorstep of many famous mountain walks, Skiddaw, Blencathra, the Coledale round and Walla Crag, and local attractions such as the Castlerigg Stone Circle and much photographed Ashness Bridge
