Property information

Built as a hunting lodge in the late 1700s by Thomas Johnes. Johnes built a small hunting lodge on the estate. After several expansions and upgrades, it is now operated as the Hafod Hotel. This 3-storey, family-owned hotel near the top of Devil's Bridge Falls is 1.9 miles from The Arch picnic site, which dates to 1810. Located only steps away from the World Famous Devil's Bridge Waterfalls and a two minute walk to the Vale of Rheidol Steam Railway. The Hafod was acquired by its current owners in 2016 and is undergoing upgrading and modernisation works which they hope to complete by early 2021.
