The burgh town of Buckie, on Scotland's north east coast, sits on either side of the Burn of Buckie, which overlooks the picturesque Moray Firth. It is a terrific coastal base from which to explore this magnificent region of Scotland, with a variety of shops and pubs. Regular boat tours depart from the harbours of Buckie and Macduff, offering the opportunity to observe bottlenose dolphins and a variety of sea birds. Spey Bay, to the west of town, is home to the Scottish Dolphin Centre and a great area to see dolphins and seals! The coastline, reaching in both ways from Buckie, is studded with charming fishing communities and magnificent beaches, ideal for a promenade while enjoying your fish and chips.
