Rowan Tree House Bed & Breakfast is situated in the village of Sleights (3 miles from Whitby, North Yorkshire). It is the perfect location from which to explore Whitby, Scarborough, York and the surrounding towns and villages such as Staithes, Runswick and Robin Hoods Bays, North Yorkshire moors & Steam Railway, countryside, coastal beaches and all that this stretch of the North Yorkshire coast has to offer.
We (Philip and Dee) have been running Rowan Tree House B&B since 2010 after our three children have grown up and moved on. We love living in our peaceful corner of the countryside whilst enjoying the benefits the area has to offer.
Sleights offers a quieter alternative to the busy tourist town of Whitby but has so much to offer. We have numerous walking and cycling routes, connections to the famous Grosmont steam train service, a wonderful local butcher, pub and fish and chip cafe. Beautiful scenery in all directions and still not too far from Whitby's hot spots and sandy beaches.
