Our holiday cottages at Cranmer are situated on our farm in a countryside location close to the north Norfolk coast. We are just 10 miles away from the wonderful sandy beaches at Holkham Bay & Wells-next-the-sea. Each of our four-star cottages are well-equipped and designed with families in mind. Our site boasts a luxury indoor heated pool, 2 all-weather tennis courts, games room with toddler play space and plenty of safe outdoor space where children can run off energy and make friends at the Wendy house or the miniature shepherds hut. The cottages are a group single story converted barns inn the grounds of our home they offer large bright open plan living spaces with original beamed ceilings and comfortably furnished with a nod to Scandi style. Several properties have additional wood burning stoves for cosy winter weekends with a little Hygge thrown in. Most properties have a private fenced garden area with a barbecue and garden furniture overlooking the extended grassy recreation space where guest can meet and children can play until dusk. Our place has a peaceful laid-back vibe, free WiFi and fibre broadband mean that if you have to combine business with pleasure you can still work from home. My husband John and I own the holiday cottages. We are keen sailors and have been welcoming guests to Cranmer for over 20 years. There is not much we don’t know about the area, and we are always happy to pass on our insider knowledge. We are around most of the time. If you need to contact us during your stay. Owl offers a stylish single story family friendly bolthole, close to South Creake & the North Norfolk coast. The spacious barn has lofty beamed ceilings and a bright open living space. Perfect for guests of all ages, the cottage has glazed doors leading to a private patio and direct access to extensive fenced gardens where children can run and play. On site there’s also an indoor pool, games room and tennis courts to keep everyone amused.

Owl Cottage is part of Cranmer Country Cottages, a cluster of converted barns located in a tiny hamlet close to South Creake on the main coast road to Burnham Market. The rural location is adjacent to a Roman Road, and is surrounded by privately owned arable farmland teeming with birds and wildlife. The property is within easy reach of the golden sands and shady pinewoods of Holkham Bay, often described as one of the best beaches in Britain, and probably the finest stretch of beach on the Norfolk coast. Close by you'll find bustling Wells-next-the-Sea, with its individual shops and traditional fish and chips. Burnham Market with its smart boutiques, antique shops and restaurants is just 10 minutes away. For foodies there is the fabulous local farm shop in the medieval town of Little Walsingham. Our local town is Fakenham and is within 4 miles driving distance. Here you’ll find a cinema, an excellent fish & chip shop, Drifters and the usual banks, chemists, butchers and supermarkets; Tesco, Morrisons, Lidl & Aldi. Fakenham comes alive on Thursdays when locals congregate for the weekly auction and open-air market featuring fresh fruit stalls and a great selection of bric- a-brac. The local shell petrol station is within 3 miles and has a mini-Waitrose essentials & food shop. For keen cyclists and walkers our location is close to the Norfolk Coast Path and has easy access to the Norfolk Coast Cycleway and national Cycle Network Route 1 which passes just south of Fakenham.
