Hotel Gezira is located on the west bank of Luxor and comprises two villas. The first (Villa 1 ) is 50 meters from the Nile bank. From the villa's terrace you can see Luxor Temple and the Old Winter Palace. In the evening, you can dine (at an additional cost) on the terrace while watching the magnificent ballet of feluccas sailing past the illuminated Luxor temple. The landing stage to the other side of the river is 200 meters from the villa. This villa includes the Tutankhamun and Cleopatra suites. The second villa (Villa 2) is located 600m from the Nile, with views of the countryside and the Theban mountains from its balconies and terrace, where you can dine in the evening (extra charge). This villa comprises the Nefertiti, Akhenaton and Agatha Christie suites.

As you emerge from the alleyway where the villas are located, you're in the Theban countryside as it was in the time of the Pharaohs 3,500 years ago, and along the Nile you'll come across children climbing on donkeys and women carrying bales of sugar cane. What more poetic landscape than the blue of the Nile, the green fields planted with date palms, the ochre-yellow mountains in the background, all bathed in the light of Ra.
