Coming from the town or the beach, driving up the mountain of VillaNoria feels like coming home in a nice, secluded, calm and private place. Sitting back at the terrace makes you relax completely.
Hans de Koning from the Netherlands has been coming to the DR since 1986 on regular basis and this is where he and his partner Carolina met. They have been considering the perfect spot to live and have holidays for long. In first instance everyone would like to have a house at the beach until you realize that you will have a house full of wind, sand and salt with a bit of a blow. (And mosquitos) In 2010 we've found this private hill with magnificent views over the beach and the surrounding mountains. Complete privacy at a stone drop from the beach and the village of Las Terrenas. The perfect match between privacy, the nice atmosphere of the mountains and the beaches and town in the vicinity. And... made a beautiful holiday spot for their guests.
The Dominican Republic is well known for its white sandy beaches but in fact there is much more to do, especially on the Samana peninsula. Whether you go for an active holiday with -kite-surfing, scuba diving, hiking, deep sea fishing and experience the longest zip-line in the Caribbean, you prefer nature with the national park Los Haitises , the waterfalls of el Limon, and whale watching during the season or more cultural activities as the Taina museum.
