Chalet l’Aiglon was truly a love at first sight. We were immediately captivated by the high quality of its construction, its authentic mountain charm, and the generous, comfortable spaces both inside and out. The four terraces—facing east, west, south, and north—offer endless possibilities for enjoying the outdoors: breakfast with the sunrise, sunset drinks, relaxing in the shade, or simply observing the local wildlife.
As a wildlife photographer, I wanted each bedroom to have its own identity, so every room is named after a mountain animal. The entire sleeping floor is affectionately called the “Marmot Floor,” a playful nod to the Alpine spirit.
After a day of hiking—many beautiful trails start right from the chalet or nearby—the jacuzzi is the perfect place to unwind, surrounded by nature.
We also cultivate berries and vegetables on site, and depending on the season, we’re happy to share our harvest with guests.
Please note: the chalet is located in the mountains, and the last 50 meters of the access road are steep (17%). Access to the chalet is via a few flights of stairs, but you can park at the top of the steeper road.
In summer, you can swim in a nearby lake or try tennis, archery, or swing/foot golf—all within 10–15 minutes. In winter, the ski slopes are just as close.
Chalet l’Aiglon is a place to experience the mountains in comfort and authenticity, perfect for nature lovers, hikers, and anyone seeking space and tranquility.
Welcome to our home!
We are a couple passionate about the mountains, travel, and sharing unique experiences. Avid hikers and mountaineers, we’ve explored trails around the world, but it’s here that we found our true haven.
Hosting guests is a real pleasure for us—each stay is an opportunity to share our love for the region, exchange stories, and offer tips for the best hikes or local restaurants.
As a wildlife photographer, I enjoy helping guests discover the local fauna and sharing photography tips or favorite spots. My partner, a dedicated gardener, tends to our berries and vegetables and is always happy to share the freshest produce.
We’re always available to answer questions, help plan activities, or simply enjoy a friendly chat over coffee or a drink on the terrace.
Our wish is for you to feel at home, to fully enjoy the magic of the place, and to leave with wonderful memories and the desire to return.
We look forward to welcoming you at Chalet l’Aiglon!
Chalet l’Aiglon is ideally located to enjoy all the region has to offer. Within 10–15 minutes, you’ll find five excellent restaurants: the cozy “Vieux Chalet” in Nax, the lively “Tsebetta” (with a playground), the camping restaurant, and the village tearoom. “Au Promeneur” is a typical spot for fondue or a charcuterie platter, with a stunning view.
The famous “bisses”—historic irrigation channels—run just behind the chalet and offer gentle, scenic walks. The Vallon de Réchy nature reserve is a true gem, and for the adventurous, Lake Le Louché is a rewarding destination.
Families will love the village of Vercorin, accessible by cable car or on foot, with its restaurants, minigolf, and hiking trails.
In summer, enjoy swimming in the lake, tennis, archery, swing/foot golf, bike rentals in Nax, or taking the cable car up to the peaks. In winter, the ski slopes are just minutes away.
The area combines authenticity, hospitality, and unspoiled nature—perfect for a stay full of discovery and unforgettable moments.
