Each simple room at the environmentally-friendly Castanea Old Town Hostel has wooden floors and access to shared bathroom facilities. It was perfect ! The facilities were super clean, the kitchen super functional with so many ustensils. The best part was that people who have leftover pasta/ rice and other things can leave it for the next customers. We got to do free meals while preventing waste! So smart ;) We were in the 16 people room and everyone was super respectful, trying to be careful both at night and early in the morning. The best part was probably the location, we could do almost everything by foot.

Awesome stay. Very friendly and engaging staff, there was Karaoke night and it was a blast. Bus stops just infront of doors and theres a lot of restaurants nearby. I will return here.

The Östasiatiska Museet Bus Stop is 150 metres from the hostel. Kungsträdgården Metro Station is 10 minutes’ walk from STF Stockholm Skeppsholmen Vandrarhem. The personnel is the nicest ever, and the localisation of the hostel is just great for sightseeing and visiting!

Crafoord Place Hostel is located in a calm and charming area named Vasastan, which is known for its parks, in particular Vasaparken, where it's perfect for picnics in the summer and ice skating in the winter. At walking distance from the hostel you will find a rich cultural scene with many restaurants, bars, cafés and small boutiques for shopping. Crafoord Place is only 15 minutes’ walk from Stockholm Central Station and you can explore the best of Stockholm with shopping and entertainment around the Drottninggatan/Hötorget area. It was great, like a dorm atmosphere. Everyone kept to themselves until people went to the kitchen or lounge and started socializing. Not a party hostel even though there were people of all ages. 15 minutes from the train station / bus station on an easy walk. Close to everything. And the staff was just great.
