Carcavelos Surf Hostel is an excellent place to stay! It is in a great location: a short walk to the beach, grocery, cafes, and 10-minutes to the metro. Everyone working there made my son (17) and I feel welcome, including the owner, Jose. We have stayed in many hostels across multiple countries and CSH is very safe, affordable, and well maintained.
Cheapest non shared dormitory property, approx £25 night situated 5 minutes walk between 2 metro stations. Area appeared safe at night. Room basic but comfortable bed with clean linen and towels. Shared kitchen with coffee maker, kettle, microwave, fridge freezer and utensils. Shared bathroom with walk in shower. There is also an outdoor patio with bar.
Very social hostel, perfect for solo travelers who want know new people. Great location, near the main touristic attractions, and staff super kind.
Very nice dormitory with a curtain that offers some privacy. The bed is very confortable and the locker has a lot of space. The staff was cleaning constantly even late in the evening and early in the morning so the bathrooms were very clean. I was a female solo traveler, I stayed in a female only dormitory, and I felt very safe in the hostel! I totally recommend!
The best hostel that you can choose for a trip to Lissabon! I’ve stayed there only for one night because the day afterwards I was heading to another city but still the stuff was explaining me everything (what to visit…). They were amazing! I’ve also attended one of the many events that they organized (tapas night with fado music) which was so much fan! And the prices are really cheap for what they offer!
Bunk bed is double bed size, which is nice. Blanket and pillow are clean and soft. The hostel has great location.
This is a budget hostel with shared bathroom but it's quiet clean and comfortable. The bedroom was all we needed, clean a comfortable bed and nice clean towels. A wardrobe with plenty of hangers and bedside drawers. Two electric sockets and a wall mirror. We didn't use the kitchen at all. With the money we saved by staying at a cheap hostel we ate out for 5 days. You're based in close walking distance to so many great restaurants and the metro is cheap and very close to the hostel. Airport €5 away by Uber.
