The hostel organizes amazing day trips, showcasing Ubud’s highlights like coffee plantations, rice terraces, waterfalls, and, as a bonus, a visit to a local school where you can engage with students—an unforgettable experience for me.

Puri Garden Hotel & Hostel is located on Pengosekan Street, in the foothills of Ubud village, the cultural centre of Bali. Located 400 metres from The Yoga Barn, the property houses a cinema room with free movies and a spacious common area centred around the pool and garden. The hotel offers free WiFi and free daily Yoga class. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at in Bali! Absolutely incredible. The staff are so welcoming and kind - especially Wisnu, Bayu and Erra! They helped me organize my trip and made my stay at Puri that much more enjoyable. They have family dinners with great food and it makes it easy to meet other people especially as a solo traveller. They helped me book the Mt batur sunrise hike and have lots of activities you can do at the hostel and around Ubud as well. I ended up extending because it was just so good. Lastly the beds are comfortable, clean and have curtains which is always a plus. You get your own locker that is decently large to fit all your belongings that way the floors are clear of bags which is one of my biggest pet peeves in hostels lol

At the hostel, all rooms include a desk and a balcony with a garden view. All guest rooms feature a safety deposit box. The place was clean and possibly the coziest hostel I’ve ever stayed in. It has a quiet but very welcoming atmosphere, and Nick is the friendliest host I’ve ever met. I did a tour through the hostel with Nick as the tour guide, and he explained a lot about his culture along the way. Highly recommend Sunshine Vintage House!
