Kids loved feeding the animals - really nice touch. Communal areas super clean, well resourced and spacious. Shops (and vineyards with lovely cream tea) v close. We all enjoyed playing pool - lots of 20ps available from owner. Really recommend - we will come back hopefully one day!!

Very cosy and very comfy 24/7 facilities. It is possible to self check in at any hour, and there is basic food to purchase in the kitchen too at any hour - quite handy (tea, coffee, beer, oatmeal, instant noodle etc). The common area is very neat and nice - i spent quite a lot of time there, chilling after a hike, cooking and eating food and even working on my laptop. I stayed in a female only dorm, that has 6 comfy beds, and there were 2 toilets and 2 showers just for our room, so i never had to wait to have a shower etc. There are hair dryers available, and a whole separate drying room both for laundry and wet clothes after a hike. Beds were perfect, pillows were perfect, not creaky as in some dorms. With very good quality bedsheets and towels. Overall, if i am in betws y coed again, i will certainly stay in Gwersyll Cyntaf Eryri.

The shared bathroom was clean and functioned well. The dining and living areas were well-kept. The basement dining room is really lovely - ancient and rare. Continental breakfast with multiple options. Location was exceptional. Plenty of public street parking and paid parking nearby. We found a free spot to use overnight. If we had needed to pay, it was minimal. I highly recommend this hostel.

The majority of rooms contain bunk beds, whilst there is a TV lounge for guests to relax in, and a games room to enjoy. A buffet breakfast is available in the morning, and there is free private parking on site. Everything else was perfect. Staff, facilities value for money and a decent breakfast too. Looking forward to revisiting in the summer

We booked 2 rooms for 8 persons including 5 adults and 3 childrens. They have got double bed and bunk beds in each room so we were able to sleep comfortably. The hostel has got a fully loaded kitchen, dining which helped us in preparing fresh breakfast every morning and also it has got a lounge where stuff like boards games, piano is available for guests. Jamie the host has been kind enough to us to accommodate each of our request and overall we enjoyed the stay, Regarding location, llangolen is a small town, therefore the location was central

It also has all the authentic parts preserved in a nice harmony with renovation. Good breakfast, lovely person who was serving it, very helpful and communicative. It's a shame there are no other meals. I do recommend my friends to go stay there!
