Great balance of private and shared spaces - all of which were very comfortable and had great character; eco friendly approach to running the hostel compounded combined with great food made the stay unique; extremely friendly and helpful staff. It's worth noting that this property is not within walking distance of Arusha centre, but if you're looking for a bit of quiet and local life, it couldn't be more perfect.

This is an oasis especially after days of safari! Dining room and lounge areas as well as patio seating provide lots of space and choice. Food is good. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The breakfast is amazing with a lot of variety than 5 star hotels, they organize Kilimanjaro day for reasonable price than the safari company offers us

best value for the money, new appartments need here and there little adjustments for exp. water from the toilett and fridge, but not to worry about, furnishing is really good, even an iron and board, a littel kitchen in the appartement and a kitchen on the rooftop. The personal is very helpful. Thanks so much.

So lovely place to chill after Kilimanjaro summit. Anthony organize very good Safary for me. Frank prepare amazing dinner and lunch! I miss this hospitality and hope that i will be back with family to achieve this place one more time!

Exceptional. Very cute little guest house. Helpful staff before and during my stay. Remarkable breakfast. Not too far up from the road but I still would ask to get dropped right at the gate after dark. The upside is it was lovely and quiet. Lots of attention to detail with even a power board near the bed.

My stay at the Mambo Arusha was really lovely, and the fellow guest were kind and great to talk to. Our beautiful host was very charming, and her mango smoothies were incredible, and her dinner and breakfasts just as good. The location is great and easy to get a Bolt into town.

The staff were amazing, very welcoming, and they did everything to make our stay great. I liked their swahili food it was very delicious. The environment is more decorated with African Colours. I highly recommend it for a night stay in Arusha.

It was my first time visiting East Africa and Tanzania and I was really nervous, but these guys were so friendly that I immediately felt completely relaxed and happy to be there. The accommodation is in a really peaceful area with lots of beautiful birdsong in the morning, and it was nice to be a bit further from the city centre in their little piece of paradise, rather than being overwhelmed by the noise and car fumes of the city

Hilary was so helpful. He helped us to organize our Safari. It was the best 2 days Safari. He was so helpful for all our requests. Everything was perfect 🤩 !(the staff is so helpful and nice, the rooms, the food, the location). I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a place to stay in Arusha. We will come back for sure.

    Wow, what a find! Tucked away in a lush banana plantation near Arusha, this eco-hostel stole my heart. My cozy barn cabin felt like a treehouse dream, complete with a porch swing and stunning Mount Meru views. But the real showstopper? The incredibly cheap eats and drinks! I feasted on delicious organic meals straight from the farm without breaking the bank. If you're after an authentic Tanzanian experience that's easy on the wallet, Banana Farm Eco Hostel is a must-visit. Trust me, your taste buds and your budget will thank you!

    This property is fantastic for backpackers, budget travellers, woofers and those looking for an environmental stay. The banana and coffee plantation surround the rooms giving wonderful views. Rooms are basic and clean, with eco-generated hot water and electricity. The tour around the property was reasonably interesting. For the price you pay, you can't go wrong.

    The staff is realy kind and helpfull. The rooms are fine. You pay a good (cheap) price to stay here and a nice breakfast is included. Dinner is possible, they serve delicious food. We had a lovely stay. I would definetly recommend this hostel, especially for students.

    Arusha has many youth hostels, but a lot of them are in inconvenient and difficult-to-find locations. It's not entirely safe to walk around Arusha after dark, so that can be a problem. Green Garden is in a fantastically central location, but still on a quiet, green side street where you don't hear the city's loud traffic at all. And the grounds of the hostel are really beautiful.
