IrelandAmazing lodge, very clean rooms, free popcorn and coffee in the kitchen and warm scones on arrival. Perfect location for everything you need. It was better than portrayed on booking.com. Only downside was thag the walls seemed thin so could hear person next door snoring.

South KoreaI had a very pleasant stay at Haka House Franz Josef. The location is excellent, with a nearby supermarket and a beautiful lake where you can see the reflection of the mountains on the opposite side of Mount Cook. After a tiring drive over the mountains from Queenstown, this accommodation provided a perfect place to rest and rejuvenate. I especially appreciated the convenience of mobile payment options for laundry, eliminating the need for New Zealand coins. The room was clean and comfortable, and the shared kitchen was spacious and well-equipped.
Although I experienced a brief power outage upon arrival, it was resolved within an hour, and my stay was otherwise smooth and trouble-free.
Overall, I would recommend Haka House Franz Josef for its convenient location, comfortable facilities, and modern amenities.

Clean room and shared bathroom. Great location, next to a grocery store, several bar-restaurants, gas station and all the activity officies of Fox Glacier. Polite staff ready to help and give suggestions. Easy parking. Very cheap for the prices of the area.

Such a lovely hostel! I had a female-only room and the room was lovely, beds were comfortable, the showers and bathrooms were clean and decently modern.
The kitchen was very well equipped, free spices/seasoning. The hostel has a small 'gym' room with mats and a few weights, a sauna, and a hot tub. WiFi was very good!
Fantastic location, right in the centre. The hostel also has free bikes for hire! I cycled to Lake Matheson (highly recommended!) And bunnies you can feed 🐇

Budget Backpacker accommodagtion that had all you needed for a basic stopover. Beds were comfortable and clean.
