The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming.they truly make you feel like part of their family. At first, I was a bit worried because the hotel didn’t have many reviews, but that’s only because it’s still quite new. The place is very clean and well maintained, and the location is perfect — just a short walk from Assi Ghat. I especially loved spending time on the rooftop; it’s a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy the view.

I’m a solo traveler who’s been to many different places in India, and I can highly recommend 3 Raahi Hostel for your next stay. The staff are incredibly helpful and make sure you have everything you need. The rooms are very nice, air conditioning works perfectly, and the bathroom in our room was cleaned by the staff every day.

Everything was good, the host were very warm and welcoming. They helped me at my arrival to get set up properly / SIM card/ bank etc and everything else that I needed . The family is incredibly kind. It’s quiet , very clean , and close to the touristic places and safe .

Gypsy Diaries Varanasi hostel was fine. Hostel staff: Hostel team was great and helpful, customer oriented. My room: My dorm room had several bunk beds with personal fan, socket and lamp, air conditioner, lockers and two bathrooms with showers. Common area: There are several levels of rooftop terraces with sofas, day beds and ping pong table in the hostel. Machine with filtered water was available to refill empty bottles. There is NO kitchen in the hostel, but hostel manager has electric kettle which saved my life. Wi-Fi: Free Wi-Fi was very tricky as my phone and laptop didn’t find it when I tried to connect, but problem was solved. Location: Main road with restaurants and shops are within 10-15 minutes of walking distance. Gang river with place they burn dead bodies were around 25-30 minutes of walking distance from the hostel. Hostel looks the same as in booking.com pictures.

The best part was being able to hear a sitar performance on the rooftop plaza at night. When I made the reservation, I was told that I needed to transfer half of the room charge to the hotel's account in advance, but due to my lack of knowledge, I could not transfer the money overseas. I inquired with the hotel about this and was told that I could pay at the counter on the day of reservation, which was very helpful. The subsequent communication was also polite and reassuring.

great hostel, exactly what you’d expect from a backpacker hostel. Great common area (games room, guest shower, terrace with kitchen). Really makes for a relaxed atmosphere. we stayed for holi, and when things got a bit rowdy in town we came back here where there was a really nice party (very safe, with checks of who was allowed in and who not). the people who work there are super friendly and accommodating for traveler’s needs (clear info and help, even provided extra soap and towel to use for our post holi shower). highly recommend!

Perfect location. The hostel really exceeded my expectations, super clean and great facilities. Staff were friendly and all the people I met were friendly too. It felt super safe. The neighbourhood was also very safe. Great location for the old town. I was sad to leave and will return!
