We were dumbfounded with what we got considering what the price. Bob was warm and welcoming, explained everything nicely and we had a lovely stay. The entire place is really cozy, everything is really clean and spotless and the location next to the castle walls is great. The room was nice and beds were comfy. Bathroom is shared, but it is a hostel after all and what matters is that it was great to use. And it was shared with only one other room so that made things better.

Excellent well run hostel. Hosts were very friendly & helpful, giving advice on tourist routes etc. Room was comfy & spotless. Shared kitchen was best equipped ever experienced. Good location for seeing North Wales. Really good value accommodation. Highly recommended.

I chose YHA firstly for its perfect location. I arrived in the evening just in time to enjoy the sunset. And then I had the best birthday morning enjoying my coffee with a wonderful view before exploring The Miners Track (the path starts literally 10 meters from the hostel). The staff are lovely. And the famous British breakfast (I had veggie version though) kept me energized till the end of my adventure. When I can feel my legs again and decide to do the Snowdon summit one more time, I will not think twice to stay here again.
