The location of the hostel is exceptional: very secluded in the woods, on a fairly steep slope of SW exposure, lots of sunshine day time (even in winter :-), beautiful view from the deck towards Three Sisters. Main lodge and the cabins are built in classic alpine style. The place is far enough from the hwy not to hear it but close enough to downtown Canmore (5 min or so). The interior of the main lodge is very cozy and stylish (wood), too; the common use rooms are nicely decorated, etc. The staff is very welcoming and helpful.

Excellent staff, went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. The room and communal areas were exceptionally clean. Amenities provided were more than sufficient given the price and location. Overall a great hostel. Would recommend to anyone.

very nice hostel. a lot of cool people young and old. very friendly staff. we have visited them in low season so we had whole room for ourselves, I guess it high season you can get only a bad, but it is still worth it. Banff is expensive, and this place was affordable.

A clean hostel with friendly staff. I had a bathroom in my room, which was great. There was a large kitchen, and a plus: the ability to store luggage without checking in or having to close the curtain. 6 female bedroom

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Very clean, great location, amazing views of the mountains from the chill area and the rooms. The kitchen facilities were very good, and I liked the bed curtains for privacy and the fact the bunk beds are secured to the wall so they don’t rattle when the person above is getting into bed.

Best hostel I’ve stayed in. Rooms were very clean as were bathrooms. The beds also have curtains which is a great thing in hostels gives you much more privacy. Staff were very helpful with any questions and they have lots of flyers for information of what to do in the area.

The hostel is very well designed and well managed. One of the best. My only discomfort was the air becoming stuffy in the dormitory. Due to someone closing the only window during the night. A minimum amount of default ventilation should be guaranteed in dormitories containing several occupants.

Absolutely fantastic place! I loved everything from the welcoming staff to the great rooms, the people, the kitchen! It became like a home to me and it was just perfect. Was without a doubt the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in and I’ve travelled for 9 years all over the world. Loved the curtains of the room so much.
