GermanyEverything was really wonderful - the host and her family are lovely, the food was fantastic and homemade, the hostel is clean and welcoming, with the second floor livingroom particularly inviting. There is a kitchen if you'd like to make your own basic meals, and a lovely courtyard to eat in. The whole place is spacious and very clean, which is important to me. The wifi was a bit slow, but it's a small city in the mountains, so I wasn't expecting the highest speed. The rooms are also spacious, bed was comfortable, and the location is quiet.
It's also a great spot to walk around Quba and the Red Village, with shops and restaurants close by. I also visited the Qadim Quba carpet weaving workshop, which was great. I traveled alone and felt safe and comfortable, and Aynur was very communicative, with quick responses and great recommendations! Mostafah also gave me a tour of nearby village Laza in the mountaina at a reasonable price, and it was beautiful. I would definitely recommend one day in Quba and another day visiting Laza and Khinaliq.
