It’s very close to the national park and the hotel can arrange the safari they have their own jeep for the safari which is very good price and you can choose the time you want to go it’s very flexible. The hotel is facing a jungle forest it’s really beautiful and all rooms have this view. There is lake at walking distance to enjoy and also the elephant transit home (elephant protection organisation) is at walking distance to visit. The host is cooking home food for breakfast and diner and it’s really nice very fresh amazing food and amazing sense of hospitality. The hotel also organises trips around they have their own taxi car which is much better than drivers you find outside.

The rooms were well sized and comfy. Would 100% Recommend!

Room - comfortable, big, with a nice ensuite and a serene patio overlooking a forest. Staff - very friendly and accommodating, and quick to respond to any requests on WhatsApp. Safari - I joined the Safari attached to the hotel and can recommend it highly. The driver was excellent at identifying wildlife and was often first to see rare animals. I did two tours: 4h one afternoon and 6h one morning. Both times, the guide was excellent. He has a deep respect for the wildlife and the animals and this really comes across in his tours. He even invited me to dinner with his family afterwards which was an honour and a treat - thank you!

Mango Tree House organized two unforgettable safari trips. On the full day of safari a lovely breakfast and lunch were packed up for us. Owners are so kind and helpful. Also, the food is the best food we’ve had this whole trip! Incredible vegetarian Sri Lankan food- we are worried we will never find curry that tastes as good again!

You can have dinner at the hotel, where the family will cook a very tasty and local meal for you for a very fair price. The place is small and feels like home. We really really recommend this place as it was one of the best places we have stayed in Sri Lanka!
