Their warmth and hospitality made us feel completely at home—it wasn’t just a place to sleep, it truly felt like staying with family. Their house told a story, filled with warmth, history, and the little personal touches that made it feel lived-in and loved. From the amazing homemade breakfast to the delicious ramen dinners they prepared, every meal was made with care and love. The guest house is conveniently located, just a short walk from a supermarket and a laundromat, which made things really easy for us. This personal, welcoming experience truly made our trip special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a meaningful, off-the-beaten-path experience in Japan. ありがとうございます

Situated in Matsushima in the Miyagi region with Entsuin Temple nearby, Uchi Matsushima Guesthouse features accommodation with free private parking. We had quite a few conversations, and he gave me some insights into Matsushima and Japan, as well as sightseeing/food/onsen recommendations at Matsushima. The guest house is exceptionally clean and well maintained, like a newly renovated premise. The room is equipped with air conditioning and comes with a key for you to lock the door. The location is very well located, just a 75m walk from the busy street, which makes it a clean and quiet place to stay, while having walking access to the different attractions of Matsushima.

Set 24 km from Kamo Aquarium and 47 km from Shinjo Station, Shukubo Kanbayashi Katsukane is situated in Mount Haguro district of Tsuruoka.
