Very helpful, gave us a lot of information so we could easily navigate the area in no time, even drove us to town to start exploring. She made us tasty breakfast free of charge, asked what we like and it was no problem that we are vegetarian. Look up ikkigai – that's what you experience there in action.

From the fresh fruits and bikes, to his advise for trains and the Nikko area, our stay was wonderful. He also offers free portrait photos of his guests, as he was a photographer in his previous job! The accommodation is very clean, 3min from train station and main road, and perfectly prepared with everything you possibly need, nothing could be improved. The Japanese room has futons which are very comfy and softer than expected, and very warm comfy blankets were provided during winter. Very clean bathroom and kitchen as well, with lots of included amenities (toothbrush, coffee, hairdryer, razor, laundry machines, etc) We will definitely stay again here when we visit Nikko! The owner was the best company, the stay was beyond good, we enjoyed it as a couple travelling through japan. We recomend sleeping in futons, it is a great experience. You can easily cook there, and the owner has great recommendation for sake and for visiting around. The place is surrounded by beautiful nature and waterfalls. A exquisitely hot bath is always ready in the morning which makes the owner a superhero. Thank you so much for the experience, we'll come back for sure!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights and we regret not staying longer! The guesthouse is so cozy and a perfect location (5 min walk from the bus stop), and has amazing views of the mountains. The host is so generous and had great advice on how to get the most out of our time in Nikko. Highly recommend!
