The facilities were good, a particular highlight is the bath with a wet room, it was great for a soak after a long day walking around. The staff were all very pleasant and the inn was kept clean and tidy with little snacks, clean towels and Pyjamas also being left daily. The check in was also particularly good as many local spots were highlighted to us, plus we were given some welcome snacks that are all locally sourced (the peach juice is particularly good). If you want to go somewhere other than the ‘Golden Triangle’ then Kurashiki and Temari inn come highly recommended from me

We had a great stay at toranjyo lit, a traditional ryokan house. It is simple but has everything you need and it’s very charming. The staff was also very friendly and helpful, giving us tips how to structure our nioshima/teshima trip and picking us up from the bus stop.
