The hotel made a great impression on us with its exceptional cleanliness and brand-new apartments, which were very comfortable to stay in. The staff were incredibly kind and warmly welcomed us from the moment we arrived, creating a friendly and hospitable atmosphere. Everything was fresh and well-maintained, and the attentive service truly stood out. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who values cleanliness and excellent service!

I only stayed for one night to be close to Nokogiri Mt. for hiking, but Ken-ken was extremely helpful and generous while I was there. One of my favorite memories from my two week trip to Japan will be my stay in this little town of Hota, much thanks to Ken-ken's hospitality and guidance for places to visit and eat at while I stayed. He recommended the cutest izakaya when I told him I was looking for dinner and a few beers called Rest Inn Wassup! The owner and cook there were so nice, and we had a good time visiting even though we were mostly speaking through Google Translate. Please don't be afraid to visit this little town if you want to see some authentic Japanese small-town life and great hiking. I was able to get around fairly easily, but be aware the public transportation is limited and it can get dark in the neighborhood at night. Rest assured, though, if you stay with Ken-ken, he will make your stay comfortable and worthwhile!

Hiro-san is a fantastic host. Super welcoming, speaks great English (which helped us a lot, since my Japanese is...barely functional), has a great sense of humor and is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable - so ask him for recommendations on anything! The place has everything you need, and more - even a mini-onsen that Hiro-san will prepare if you ask for it! If you end up sharing the place with another group your experience could vary, but for us (5 people) everything worked out perfectly. Thank you again to Hiro-san!

The train station and convenience stores are somewhat near our accommodation. Kazuki-san is very responsive to messages and gave us a guidebook on places he recommended. He also gave us toiletries and other essentials we needed for our stay. The Tokyo Skytree and Skytree Town are also close, and they are great tourist attractions.

At the homestay, units come with bed linen and towels. One of the best affordable and feature rich places that we had booked in our Japan trip. Yumi was particularly very helpful and has kept the property in a very spotless manner. The bathrooms although shared had all the amenities including premium toiletries. There's also a shared kitchen if you want to cook your own food and they have stocked limited (included) noodles, coffee and chocolates. The place is hardly 10 mins walk from Sakurajosui station and has direct connectivity to Shinjuku station. There's also a few eateries that stay open till late, plus few Gyudon restaurants that serve 24/7 with 7-eleven and Family Mart nearby. Overall an exceptional property if you want peace of mind and home-like stay.
