Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). Highlight of my trip, I wish we stayed 2 nights not just one. Great hospitality and wonderful facilities. Personally the futon was very comfortable since I prefer harder matress. A 15 minute walk from the ferry terminal, very close to the main attractions.

We were pleasantly surprised how spacious they were, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The host was incredibly kind, he suggested the best places to eat and buy locally produced lemon pastries, and when we were leaving, he brought his cat, Tiger, and waved goodbye to us. As we were on a three-day bike trip and only had our small backpacks with us, we loved the fact that everything was provided: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, tooth brushes, toothpaste, mouth wash, etc. In each room there were even a couple of bottles of water and everything for making tea and coffee. In the common spaces there was a microwave, guidebooks, manga books, and a wall full of Toso Maps of the Shimanami Kaido trail. We will definitely book Bed&Cafe Onzo again next time we bike the Shimanami Kaido!

Ubicado en Hikino, ゲストハウスみちしお ofrece un salón compartido. Las habitaciones climatizadas ofrecen vista al mar y vienen con un escritorio y WiFi gratis. Very nice guest house in yugeshima. Fullly equipped kitchen and bathroom as shared amenities. Rooms are not big, but very comfortable and nicely furnished. Location is quite out of the way, but the host made sure to pick us up from the ferry and had bikes available to rent.

Jock is a wonderful host, very giving with his time and tips. Made us takoyaki, which was yum!!! Parents found the chairs a bit hard (used to a sofa :) ), but it was fine. Location was fine, ten mins to at least 2 supermarkets and maybe 15 mins to main train station - easy to walk.

Absolutely loved our stay here - felt very luxurious with some nice touches like heated floor tiles and automatic toilet lid opening! There’s also plenty of room and a gorgeous view to the river.

We stayed in the town for 3 days and 2 nights. This was overall our favorite experience in Japan (among Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Hakuei). The hosts were very hospitable. Once we arrived, they helped us plan the itinerary, recommended places for dinner, held a tea party, and also helped us book a restaurant that needed reservation. On our way back, they also drove us to a further train station, with a few short stops for additional sight-seeing. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, and we could adjust the temperature with air-conditioning. The room felt very traditional (which was great). We slept on Tatami mat. The town itself was also very nice. The Detective Conan (case closed) part of town was very exciting, but even after the museum and themed restaurant/shops closed, the rest of the town was still very charming. We enjoyed walking around and taking in the beautiful scenery at night. In terms of getting to the town, we actually didn’t purchase the train tickets until one day before traveling. We asked our previous hotel and train station information to help us get the tickets, and there was no problem traveling to the town.

Establecido en Imabari, a 30 km de Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, OMISHIMA SPACE Omoya ofrece hospedaje con un jardín, estacionamiento privado de cortesía, un salón compartido y una terraza. Stayed as a pitstop while doing the Shimanami Kaido. Modernised traditional Japanese house. Staff was extremely welcoming and even wrote our name in Kanji. The house itself is clean, and there's even a free washing machine and dryer for use. For what we paid, we got great value and would definitely stay here again if doing the Shimanami Kaido or even just to visit the island.

La amabilidad de la propietaria conmigo y mis dos hijos de 8 y 11 años. Veníamos de Onomichi en bicicleta y a la manana siguiente debíamos continuar la ruta en bicicleta. El mejor lugar donde hemos hospedado Nos reservó un restaurante delicioso, nos llevó en coche,.nos quería hasta venir a buscar . El hostal precioso, simple, real, limpio. El desayuno buenísimo con los Beatles de fondo. Todo exquisito, unas vibraciones buenísimas, gracias a esa mujer.
