Upon arrival my hostess was quick to come and meet me outside making me feel very welcome. My room was very spacious with room to spread out my large suitcase on the extra bed. A full spread for tea and coffee was set in my room including biscuits and proper tea cups & saucers. There was milk (not artificial whitener) for my tea in a fridge that we could also use for our food. The bed was extremely comfortable with lots of pillows as well as all the linens and towels were great quality. The common spaces were modern and comfortable. And the hostess checked in before I went to bed. Great location to a lovely beach I wish I had booked this property for more than one night.

The room was incredibly comfortable, quite spacious and with a nice view. The bathroom was not huge but had a nice bathtub and plenty of shelves for clothes and toiletries, plus it had a wooden towel rack which i appreciated a lot. After a long and tiring day it felt like a mini spa treatment 😊 Also, the host suggested I take a shortcut from Lehanagh to Phiarsaigh and it turned out to be spectacular, no other cars for miles and rugged beauty all around.

It features mature gardens, free Wi-Fi and free private parking, and is situated just 3 km from the village of Oughterard, ideally located for exploring Connemara and Galway city. Everything was just perfect - Patricia was the perfect host giving us lots of great information on where to get dinner, local spots to visit and just general banter! We had the best room in the place (imo). Breakfast was fabulous and i felt thoroughly spoilt!

I ate at 9 am and was full till dinner time. The eggs with salmon is something i have never had better anywhere else. Very friendly family running the place like professionals

There are 3 apartments with private external entrance - 2 x one-bedroom on the ground floor and 1 x two-bedroom self-catering apartment on the first floor, upstairs and 3 further apartments located in the main building, entered by the main entrance - 2 x one bedroom and one x 2 bedroom, these are located on the first floor -upstairs. We stayed in BnB's almost exclusively during our 2 weeks in Ireland and the Buttermilk was hands down the best of all. The room was lovely, breakfast out of this world and easy walk to town.

Donna was super friendly and helpful during our stay, giving us traveling tips and everything we needed. Great apartment and great hosts. Will definitely recommend.
