The owner clearly has an eye for details and an understanding of the sorts of creature comforts travelers appreciate: everything was cozy, beautiful and well-thought-out. The flower-theme was especially lovely! The whole place has a warm, welcoming vibe. The onsen was bliss after a long day, and the room was cute and comfortable. Extra bonus points for a good luggage storage system!

Beautiful Japanise room. We've enjoyed the shared facility, like kitchen and laundry. Communication with owner was perfect: all the instruction available for a late check-out. 10 minuts walking there is a 24h open shop.

I really like the owner. She was really very helpful and helped me for my trip so much. The place itself was also nice and clean. She also hasva small shop selling some sweet bun. If you try it bewsre the birds around shingu who stole half of mine. 🙂

The owner of this Hostel Is very helpful. He offered to pick us up at the JR station as we arrived very late at Shingu. He also allowed us to leave the luggage in the hostel so that we can go hiking with the backpack only. For the room, it was very clean and tidy. In short, it was a very pleasant stay and I will recommend this place to the future travelers

Beautiful old-style guesthouse right next to Hayatama Taisha. The location is absolutely amazing. Hayatama Taisha is literally steps away from the front door. There are river views from the room and the tatami floor rooms are beautiful.

Fantastic location. Ate at three different local restaurants, all excellent and all within a one minute walk. Loved Pico’s bar downstairs. Tons of fun, great atmosphere. Pico was very welcoming and helpful. Apartment very comfortable, clean and cozy. A wonderful place to stay.
