Great homestay, big beds, hot shower with good pressure and a shared bathroom that's always clean. Breakfast is one of the best I've had in whole Indonesia. Above all, Ibra is a lovely host and would do anything to help you or make your day better, give you recommendations, his contacts. The funeral ceremony tour with him was also an amazing experience. Absolutely recommended!

Cozy and welcoming homestay with a local family, Tia. Highly recommended for a multi-day stay in the Tana Toraja area. They serve great breakfasts, and Resinta can also prepare excellent lunches or dinners (with generous portions). Drinking water, hot water, coffee, tea, and laundry service are available. Jacob and his son Yansen speak English and are very helpful. Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and each room has a fan. Bathrooms and showers are clean and have hot water. Scooter rental is available for 100K per day. Thanks to Jacob, we had the opportunity to attend a local funeral ceremony. Jacob is generally very helpful and willing to assist with almost anything—don’t hesitate to ask him.

This has been one of the best places we’ve stayed during our six months of traveling. The Toraja area is stunning and well worth spending at least four nights, as we did. Our room was lovely, with a great view and a perfect location in the village. There is a hot shower, and the food was delicious. The owners are warm and welcoming. We had a unique experience joining Taco on a tour to visit a ‘sick’ person and witnessed a local funeral ceremony, which gave us deep insight into the culture here.

The room and all facilities are really clean, we enjoyed the breakfast every morning, location is good only a short drive to the main road and quiet location. The bed was really comfy and good shower pressure. The best part was our hosts, Bella and her parents! Such lovely people it felt like we were a part of their family; they took care of us so well and were so welcoming. Felt right at home. Thank you!!

We stayed 4 nigths at Purabarang homestay and we really enjoyed our time there! The house is located beautifully next to rice fields and mountains but is still really close to central rantepao. Paulus and Ernie and their family are incredibly friendly, helpful and speak english very well. Paulus helped us with everything, like renting a scooter and organizing a visit to a traditional funeral ceremony in Toraja. He is a great guide, super accomodating and he for example even was so kind to drop us off at the busstation on our last day. We were really cared for, the food was delicious and we absolutely recommend Purabarang homestay!

    Lovely host family. Paulus (host) did take us to a Torajan funeral as a guide. Also he arranged a rental motorbike/moped for us. His wife Ernie makes the best banana pancakes for breakfast!!

    Meske and her family are the best host family you could ever wish for! Your stay will be a true experience with the locals, their food and habits. Meske goes the extra mile; she will spend evenings with you to help you plan your programme and suggest the best guides and drivers. This is not a simple stay - you should know you will leave your heart in Toraja ;)
