I loved my little nature getaway to Rock&Wood! The location was perfect for me (close to the start of relatively quiet and peaceful hiking trails, walkable to Starbucks and West Lake, but far away enough from West Lake to avoid the HUGE amounts of people). Sally, the host, was so welcoming and helpful- helping me to navigate when my driver couldn't find the place, offering lots of suggestions and tips, and even helping me when I left my boots behind. It's a homestay style, so breakfast was family style with other guests. It was delicious and filling.

Very clean and convenient. Staffs are extremely friendly and helpful. Our heater in the room has some issues on the first day of checking in. They immediately sent the repair man to fix it and also brought in a portable heater for us. I love the location, nearby has a row of shops for food even at night. Highly recommended! Love the vibes and hope to come and stay again in the near future!

This place is right in the centre of the tea plantation. If you are a runner or walker, there is a good running/walking track for you to exercise and the scenery is beautiful and peaceful. It's very quiet at night, if you enjoy a bit of peace and quiet, this is a perfect place for you. The staff are very friendly and helpful and always accommodate to your needs.

It was so beautiful there. Within 10 min walking I was at one of the most beautiful places of the westlake. People were friendly and in a short time you feel a little bit like being at home. The woman who manages the hotel is so nice and helps whereever she can. She rents a bicycle for me, she helps me finding souvenirs for my relatives at home. She also speaks a nearly perfect English. Supermarket 5 min walk. It was clean and silent. If I one day will visit the region of Hangzhou again I will find my home in the MK Inn again. I can 100 percent recommend it. Kurt from Germany

    This is a very nice boutique hotel in the west lake area. The hotel itself and rooms are tastefully decorated. It's 5 mins walk to Linyin Temple and Linyin bus terminal. Lots of eateries around the area. Highly recommended if you want to experience a stay offered by locals.

    Fantastic homestay-style hotel in the heart of an authentically local area, surrounded by restaurants, cafes and the odd bar. A real step away from the commercial districts of Hangzhou and very handily placed for the sights around West Lake. Amazing and welcoming hosts who spoke reasonable English and go out of their way to make you feel at home. Decent WiFi, cute rooms! If you want luxury and mod cons, try somewhere else. If you want a home away home in a great (and absolutely safe) area, come here.
