The guesthouse has very nice and original decor decor and furnishings and the rooms are very nice and comfortable. It is also within walking distance of both the bus and minivan station and the train station (although the latter is half an hour's walk away). The owner - a local woman - is very helpful and forthcoming, and she's also one of few communicative Thais with a genuine interest in foreigners that I came across on my two trips to Thailand: once I even asked her to call a bike rental shop to let them know that I would return the bicycle I was renting from them later than agreed, as unfortunately I cannot speak Thai, and she kindly obliged. Not to mention that her husband was twice kind enough to give me and other guests a ride to the minivan and bus station so that I did not have to pay for a tuk tuk.

I had a superb experience at Villa Scenns! The place is very easy to find, accommodates for parking your own vehicle, and is only a 20 min walk from the Mon Bridge. The owner is among the nicest host I have ever stayed at, with a plethora of knowledge about the area and is very keen to chat it up. This was BY FAR my most cherished stay and experience in Thailand and I look forward to come back. HIGHLY recommended!

They do the extra for the guest experience in a genuine way. They showed me the surrounding areas, temples, landscapes and nice restaurants. If youn want to be a bit outside of the city and have a real thailand experience this is the place to be. You can also get to the famous waterfalls and nature park with the bus not far away. I will think back of my time there with joy.
