Taaj Residence is well situated in central Skardu, but very quiet. The garden is as beautifully maintained as the whole Residence. Staff is incredibly warm und helpful, they go out of their way to help you or arrange something for you, the also have a good address book! Food was lovely (the mother is an excellent cook!) and eating in the garden, soúrrounded by roses, cherry trees and apricot trees is a real treat. The bathroom is all in white - and so clean! Hot water runs in the morning and in the evening, electricity was always available and also WIFI worked well. The bed was good too. I will come back to Taaj Residence for sure!

The location is perfect—right in the heart of the city, making it easy to get around. The highlight of my stay was the incredible hospitality from the manager, Naqeeb. He was super helpful and friendly, even arranging a taxi for me when I needed it. The room was clean, hot water was always and free Wifi available, and the breakfast was fresh and satisfying. Naqeeb really made me feel at home. Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Skardu!

"I had an incredible stay at Hounza Lounge! The room with a balcony offered breathtaking views of Rakaposhi and Diran Mountain – waking up to that scenery was a dream. The room was spotless, with a very comfortable bed, making it feel like a true retreat. The staff were amazing, especially Amir, who was thoughtful and seemed to anticipate all my needs. I initially booked for one night but ended up staying for a month because of the peaceful atmosphere and exceptional hospitality. The location is perfect, just a 5-minute walk from Karimabad Bazaar. A special thank to the owner, Noushad, who went above and beyond to help me organize my trips, guide, taxidriver and make sure I had everything I needed. This is by far the most peaceful place in Karimabad, and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommended!"

Oh my gosh, this was such an easeful stay. I traveled solo here and I felt like I made a whole family. I did not feel anything lacking. I was able to do excursion, be at ease, have breakfast, there’s restaurant right across and you have privacy and the views outside are truly breathtaking !

The property is centrally located, making it very convenient to reach all the main attractions. Sikandar bhai and his team are exceptionally welcoming and hospitable. Privacy is top-notch, and the breakfast is absolutely delicious. Overall, it’s excellent value for money. We were offered a complementary bonfire on our last night at the guest house.

A Home Away from Home in the Heart of Nature Our stay at Mountain Face Guest House was simply amazing. The hospitality of Mr. Sana Ullah and his son Haseeb made us feel right at home. They were incredibly helpful and supportive throughout our stay. We even cooked our own meals, and Haseeb was always there to assist us — just like a family member. The environment was warm and friendly, with breathtaking views all around. The guest house is beautifully nestled among mountains and greenery, offering a peaceful retreat away from the city rush. One of the best parts is that Manthal Buddha Rock is just a 15-minute walk from the guest house — a perfect short hike to an amazing historical site. Also, the breakfast was amazing! Make sure to try the local breakfast — it’s fresh, delicious, and a great way to start your day. Would definitely love to come back again and again. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Skardu!
