It felt to nice to be well cared for, especially when traveling alone. Gihan can help arrange tours and activities and will take you himself in his Tuk Tuk when available. They have bikes for hire and I enjoyed riding all around Anuradhapura a couple of times. Their food is amazing! In the past they owned a restaurant and it shows. A huge variety and the best food I’ve had in Sri Lanka. I am gluten intolerant and they were very accommodating to my diet. You can tell they care a lot about their business, investing in it and caring for their clients. Extend your stay, you won’t regret it. There’s much to see In Anuradhapura and you’ll not want to leave Corner Cottage.

The breakfasts were delicious and the location is a short tuk tuk ride to the lake, downtown and nearby restaurants. Even comes with a small pool to cool off in on those hot days. At the guest house, units come with bed linen and towels. The environment of the hotel is very beautiful. The owner has a large orchard. In a corner of the orchard, there is a beautiful botanical garden, which was designed by the owner himself. We stayed in this botanical garden. You can imagine how beautiful it is! In addition, the hotel owner has a very polite son and a naughty and lovely daughter. We felt very happy playing with them.

The property has mountain and city views, and is 2.6 km from Bogambara Stadium. Kandy City Center Shopping Mall is 2.8 km from the guest house and Kandy Royal Botanic Gardens is 3.7 km away. The rooms were spotless, and having power adapters available was a lifesaver. The free laundry service was a nice bonus. Yamma, the owner/manager, was incredibly kind and always available to help. Highly recommend this place!
